Ruinart

Ruinart was founded in 1729 in Épernay by Nicolas Ruinart, nephew of the Benedictine monk Dom Thierry Ruinart. It is the first and oldest Champagne house. It worships Chardonnay, the heart of its identity, and advocates sustainable viticulture and meticulous winemaking to bring out the purity of its aromas. In the cellar, it favours long ageing on the lees to develop a creamy texture and dazzling freshness. The champagnes are distinguished by floral, citrus and white peach notes, with a fine minerality.
