Maxime Ullens (Vigneron)

Trained as an architect, Maxime Ullens is a passionate and highly talented self-taught artist. He perfected his skills with Caroline Frey, particularly at her ‘Secret Garden’ in Fully. At Domaine de Marzilly, the grapes are grown according to biodynamic principles. The Pinot Meunier grape is given exceptional emphasis. In fact, he was awarded the title of Winemaker of the Year 2020 by Gault & Millau! He has also developed barrels with sandstone bottoms for the vinification of these wines. The estate offers three cuvées produced in quantities of less than 7,000 bottles and with very low dosage – we love it!
