Taupenot Merme

This magnificent 13-hectare family estate in Morey-Saint-Denis was created in 1963 with the marriage of the Taupenot and Merme families. Today, the neighbouring Clos des Lambrays estate is run by children Virginie and Romain. The entire estate, which boasts some of the finest appellations in the Côte de Nuits, is run according to the principles of organic farming. The wines are models of balance and aromatic purity, without over-extraction or excess alcohol. New barrels are used sparingly, and every effort is made to ensure that the magnificent grapes from the estate’s old vines are not masked.
