De Villaine

It was Aubert de Villaine (co-owner and co-manager of Domaine de la Romanée Conti) who, seeing the full potential of the vines at Domaine de Villaine, bought it in 1971. In 2003, he handed over management of the estate to his talented nephew, Pierre de Benoist. Pierre de Benoist’s work is exceptional and has earned the Bouzeron and Rully appellations worldwide recognition. Pierre is a great specialist in Burgundy terroirs, and produces all his wines biodynamically. His wines are highly complex, especially if you leave them in the cellar for a few years.
