Château Cos d’Estournel (Saint-Estèphe)

Situated opposite Lafite but in the commune of Saint-Estèphe, the Château has become a veritable temple of wine under the direction of Michel Reybier. Marked by its oriental architecture and famous pagodas, it advocates probing viticulture to bring out the best in its unique terroir, ranked second in the 1855 hierarchy. The working philosophy is based on the demand for extreme quality and drastic sorting, which precedes ambitious ageing. Cos wines are powerful and complex, with spicy notes, black fruit and great length. Their ageing potential is proverbial.
